Board members can make or break any campaign.  When properly trained, they have the ability to open doors, bring credibility to your vision, and provide the leadership gifts that prompt others to follow.

But how do you train these often reluctant leaders and prepare them to be an integral part of your campaign?  And even before that, how do you find the new board members who have the most potential to help?

Tim Winkler, CEO of the Winkler Group and an AFP Master Trainer, has worked with hundreds of board members over his 25 years in the fundraising field.  Special strategies he has gleaned over years of working with boards will help workshop participants turn even the most hesitant board member into an essential part of your campaign team.

Learning Objectives:

1) How to find and then recruit effective board members and trustees.

2) How to encourage and train board members and trustees to be active participants in fundraising for your college or foundation.

3) Common qualities possessed by successful board members.
