Leadership in 3-D
This presentation offers a variety of hands on situations and everyday examples to demonstrate how any individual can become a more effective leader. Often most individuals feel a bit overwhelmed when thinking about leadership because our basic conceptions typically visualize leaders in grand scenarios. In contrast, this presentation demonstrates that individuals can become better leaders and positively affect their corner of the world by focusing on three simple goals (all beginning with the letter ‘D’). We then discuss specific skills and strategies to maximize everyone’s leadership potential.

Presenter:  Kirk A Randazzo, Ph.D., USC Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Carolina Leadership Initiative

Dr. Kirk A. Randazzo is a highly sought speaker and scholar, both internationally (including presentations in Australia, Belgium, England, Eritrea, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, and Turkmenistan) and across the United States. As a respected political scientist, he teaches and conducts research on constitutional law and judicial politics, the rule of law in emerging democracies, and judicial independence. Additionally, Dr. Randazzo is the Director of the Carolina Leadership Initiative which seeks to promote, encourage, and facilitate leadership and its development across the University of South Carolina. As a public speaker, his presentations focus on developing fundamental leadership skills, tips for effective public speaking, and strategies for successful conflict management. Dr. Randazzo received his Ph.D. in political science from Michigan State University in 2003 and is currently a Professor at the University of South Carolina. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the national fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi, the Board for the Friends of the USC School of Music, and is the ‘Voice of the Carolina Band’.
